McCarthy suggests Jim Banks, Jim Jordan, Rodney Davis, Kelly Armstrong and Troy Nehls

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) had originally nominated five House Republicans to sit on the January 6 select committee. These representatives were chosen to investigate the events surrounding the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. The initial nominees included:
