Echo Chamber
An echo chamber is a network consisting primarily of aligned, consistent worldviews. No new ideas are introduced, and existing ideas bounce around, gaining more weight. This occurs because people will tend to favor ideas that are unchallenged because they seem to be right. If everyone in your network agrees with you, you will increasingly feel as if your ideas are right.
When combined with ideological identities, it can be dangerous because your sense of who you are is amplified due to a lack of Resources/Philosophy/Thinking/CriticalThinking or challenges to your worldview. It's like the immune system: if an immune system is never challenged, when a pathogen is able to enter your body, it can have a significantly more devastating effect because the immune system hasn't learned how to counter pathogens.
